Yaamava Resort & Casino to Hire Hundreds of Workers – Daily Bulletin

Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in San Manuel is looking to fill hundreds of positions for slot machine technicians, cage cashiers and support staff, cooks, bakers, catering attendants and security guards, among other roles.

The resort will hold its second annual “Job Haunt” from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 28 at its recruiting center at 1 Mills Circle at the Ontario Mills Mall. The center is located between Sam Ash Music and Ulta Beauty.

Salaries vary depending on the work and experience of applicants, the company said. Data from Indeed.com shows that food and beverage workers earn an average of $52,901 per year, cashiers average $25,340, and sous chefs earn an average of $55,528 per year.

Benefits include discretionary bonuses, education discounts, tuition reimbursement and employee appreciation days, the resort said.

Job seekers attending Friday’s hiring event can meet with recruiters, learn about various positions, interview hiring managers and can receive job offers on the spot.

Those who arrive in costume will receive gifts, and certain roles are eligible for $1,000 welcome bonuses and up to $300 in perks.

Highland Casino, at 777 San Manuel Blvd., features a 17-story hotel tower with 432 rooms and suites, an elevated pool deck, a full-service spa and salon, and 24-hour in-room dining .

The casino features over 7,000 slot machines, five high-limit gaming rooms, live entertainment, a wide range of dining options, multiple bars and lounges, retail stores and a player rewards program.
