Waters Welcomes Disaster Recovery and Restoration Team | News, Sports, Jobs – SANIBEL-CAPTIVA
‘Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa announced that on October 11, more than 130 guests arrived on the property and are occupying the resort’s 137 units for an extended stay to be determined.
Guests are part of ARS Global Emergency Management Island Base Camp, a disaster recovery and restoration company that will service public and private Sanibel and Captiva properties.
“We couldn’t be more honored and delighted to serve as a home base for these vital and talented men and women,” said Doug Babcock, general manager of Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts. “These are the heroes who will help restore our islands to not only functional status, but also aesthetic ones – allowing our tourism businesses here to reopen and recover as quickly as possible.”
He added that SCBR is planning a full recovery of its flagship resorts – ‘Tween Waters and West Wind Island Resort of Sanibel – much faster than previously imagined.
“Public-private sector cooperation in restoring power, water, internet, security and other infrastructure measures makes this remarkable comeback possible,” said Babcock.
‘Tween Waters also offers a catering service to its customers.
“We have always been among the highest rated gastronomic destinations on TripAdvisor”, he said. “We think our new guests will be delighted.”
