Vail’s Heavenly Mountain Resort Hosts Bread & Broth Dinner | South of Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Thanks to Vail’s Epic Promise grant, Vail’s two local stations will once again host monthly Bread & Broth Monday Meal “Adopt A Day of Nourishment” sponsorships. On June 20, Michael Blake, Steve Kremer, Hannah Raudebaugh, Armando Shalhoub and Ty Vanatta, all members of Heavenly’s Retail Resort department, joined the B&B volunteers to help set up, serve and clean up Monday’s Meal.

As always, Vail team members are a tremendous asset in helping B&B provide a hot, nutritious, and complete meal to members of the community who join B&B for their Monday night dinner served at St. Theresa Grace Hall. from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in addition to the hot meal, diners can pick up bags of food, get second helpings, and receive containers of leftover food at the end of the meal.

Taking a break during meal service, Ty shared his feelings about his volunteer experience. “It’s good to see the values ​​of doing good being put into action,” Ty said.

Armando added, “our goal is to do good” and all team members shared that their volunteer experience was very “rewarding and inspiring”.

With their help, a wonderful meal of pulled pork, mac and cheese, coleslaw, roasted broccoli and desserts was enjoyed by the evening diners. Additionally, the second portion of B&B on Fridays at the Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church from 4-5 p.m. offers a simple entrée and soup to community members. Everyone is welcome at B&B meals.
