Rosewood to manage historic Schloss Fuschl Hotel – Business Traveler

Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to add its second property in Austria, joining the recently opened Rosewood Vienna.

The luxury group will manage the historic Hotel Schloss Fuschl when it reopens in late 2023 after a comprehensive renovation programme.

The hotel is currently marketed as Marriott’s Luxury Collection, but will close for renovations in September this year, before reopening as Rosewood Schloss Fuschl.

The 15th-century property sits on the shores of Lake Fuschl, surrounded by mountains and forests, with Rosewood describing it as “reminiscent of a fairytale castle.” It was first used as a hotel in 1954.

When it reopens, the property will offer 98 rooms including 46 suites and six chalets, as well as “world-class restaurants and lounges”, and Rosewood’s Asaya spa concept with eight treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor pools and a fitness center.

Recent Rosewood brand openings include Rosewood Vienna on Petersplatz in the old town of the Austrian capitaland Rosewood Sao Paulo, which occupies the old Matarazzo maternity ward of the citynext to a new “vertical garden tower”.

Upcoming projects include Hotel Bauer in Veniceand the group’s second property in London, located in the former US Embassy in Grosvenor Square.
