Restaurant veteran Ricardo Bravo named executive chef of Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, an upscale, all-inclusive Texas getaway just north of Houston, has named Ricardo Bravo as Executive Chef. In this role, the acclaimed food and beverage veteran will oversee the culinary direction of two of the 402 guest rooms, the property’s three AAA Four Diamond restaurants – the casual dining venue The Woodlands and the outdoor Cool Water Café serving the Forest Oasis Lazy River & Waterpark – as well as the restoration of 75,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space, plus an array of outdoor function spaces that take advantage of a scenic setting framed by two pathways championship golf course.

Prior to joining The Woodlands Resort, Bravo served as Regional Executive Chef and Regional Director of Food and Beverage for North Palm Beach, Florida, Driftwood Hospitality Management, supporting seven full-service hotels under various brands and in multiple states. Prior to that, he worked as Executive Chef at the beachfront Hilton Galveston Island Resort in Galveston, TX and The Stella Hotel, an Autograph Collection boutique property in Bryan-College Station, TX.

Bravo began his hospitality career in Corpus Christi, Texas, with Marriott and Omni Hotels & Resorts, then served as Executive Chef and then Food and Beverage Manager at the Magnolia Hotel Houston downtown. He is active in the community and is a former assistant director of the Houston Chapter of the Texas Chefs Association.
