Opening date announced for Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor

This sprawling 785-key new build in Southwest Florida, which will feature an 18-hole golf course and 19 staggering F&B concepts, began accepting reservations beginning in May 2023.

Excitement is building in Port Charlotte as Floridians eagerly await the arrival of a huge new hospitality program.

A significant opening

Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor, which is expected to be the first newly built resort with more than 300 rooms to open in Southwest Florida in more than 13 years, began taking reservations from May 2023. The first experience Allegiant Travel Company’s complete package will include an impressive 785 keys, including 189 luxury suites.

Abundant lifestyle amenities

When completed, the resort will feature 19 dining outlets, two pools including a 117,000 square foot ground floor experience and adults-only rooftop retreat, shopping on a harbor promenade, a fitness center in shape 7,100 square feet with four group exercise studios and a full-service spa.

A real highlight of the property promises to be its 18-hole golf course, designed by Kip Schulties, open exclusively to hotel guests. Meanwhile, events will be hosted across 60,000 square feet of function space, including two ballrooms, two executive breakout rooms, 12 breakout rooms, and an ideation suite with three breakout rooms.

Resort accommodations range from upscale coastal-inspired rooms to luxurious Sunsuites with one to three bedrooms. Each suite shall have a chef’s level kitchen with Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances, entertainment area and a spacious balcony. Guests will also enjoy a separate check-in experience and access to the private lounge.

Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is located just ten minutes from the Punta Gorda airport.
