Montana’s Bitterroot Mile Club opens a new season with more fly fishing and guided float tours

“Families or small groups looking for a different experience can rent their own mini-resort and get away from the crowds of vacationers,” said Scott Woolfolk, owner and operator of TBMC. “We maintain exclusivity by only allowing one guest to rent the entire resort for the duration of their stay. Whether it’s a corporate retreat team or a large family reunion, this group is the only one on the property. Guests can enjoy luxurious amenities while enjoying intimate beachfront access and the seclusion needed to create extraordinary encounters.”

With a large main lodge, two luxury cabins and three state-of-the-art glamping huts, TBMC can accommodate up to 18 people. In addition to luxurious accommodations, the resort also offers dry fly fishing and boating packages so guests can fish or float. Guests can also enjoy a bocce court, hot tub, pickleball court, and cold plunge pool. Other amenities may include horseback riding, ATV/UTV rides, hiking, and yoga.

Breakfast and dinner are provided by Mission Bistro, a Stevenville, Montanarestaurant offering northwestern cuisine with a French-inspired twist.

Travelers to the area will recognize the scenic Bitterroot River Valley if they’re a fan of the hit TV series, “Yellowstone.” The show is filmed throughout the region, and the barn scenes are filmed within 20 miles of nearby TBMC Darby, Montana.

Woolfolk and his wife, Danka, purchased the property in 2019 and began remodeling and renovating the resort to provide guests with contemporary accommodations in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The resort was operational for the 2020 season and many guests from the first season returned in 2021.

Woolfolk said he believes the beauty of the resort should be experienced by anyone who loves nature.

“The Bitterroot River is a deep, slow-moving river, making it one of the best places to United States for dry fly fishing,” said Woolfolk. “And the river is not just for those who fish. While floating down the river, you’ll likely see osprey, eagles, and occasionally moose. Visitors can immerse themselves in the wildlife, water and simple beauty of the area in the company of only their colleagues, close friends or family. It really is a unique experience.”
