DOT inspects potential tourist destinations in Pangasinan

PANGASINAN – The Tourism Department of Region 1 with the Pangasinan Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Bureau (PTCAO) has continued to conduct an assessment and validation of potential adventure and nature tourism sites in Pangasinan.

The DOT said this series of activities is in line with the development of Pangasinan tourist routes in preparation for the new normal. The move aims to offer a comprehensive guide to inviting more visitors and giving them more options for destinations to visit.

The DOT assessment also included local products that will be made available to local and overseas visitors while adhering to health and safety guidelines and protocols as part of the new normal.

This regional office initiative serves as a response to the pandemic.

Local Government Units through their respective Tourism Officers assisted in validation and visited the following tourist sites and their locations: Pangasinan, Bangrin Mangrove Farm (Marine Protected Area), Salt Farm of Abesamis and the cave of Nalsoc in Bani; Products from the Gallali IZW farm; Reyes Atipen Dragon Fruit Farm and Pao Beach in the city of Burgos.

The DOT also visited Sual, Pangasinan where Villa Mida River View, Matico Falls, Amara Hills and Montemayor Beach Resort are located, as well as the city of Labrador where Tinakayanan Falls and Uyong Beach are located.

In Umingan, Pangasinan, Viewtiful Deck Nature Park was also visited.
