The courtesy visit by NUSTAR leaders to CCCI has become an opportunity for both parties to define areas in which they can work together, especially with the upcoming Cebu Business Month (CBM).

Brigitte Lim, CEO of CBM 2022, and Maribel Melgar, Head of the CBM Division of CCCI, joined Co and Taguiam to brief NUSTAR leaders on this year’s CBM.

“Your timing is perfect!” Taguiam told NUSTAR executives, noting how quickly the multi-billion peso facility opened. Travel restrictions have eased, full vaccination of Metro Cebu residents is nearing completion and the tourism sector is back in business, Taguiam said. Taguiam, as Past President, has a spare year to help Co deliver on CCIC’s plans and programs.

Despite the long Covid pandemic and the massive damage left by Super Typhoon Odette in December 2021, NUSTAR has not halted development, an indication that NUSTAR and CCCI see as their optimism in Cebu’s accelerating economy.
